This is the Twelve Apostles, Melbourne, Australia — My favorite-most place on earth! This is one of the world’s greatest attractions! Rising out of the ocean of Port Campbell National Park of Melbourne, these amazingly beautiful giant limestone pillars form a scene of fantastical beauty. Due to erosion they are not in their full form yet the beauty has not diminished at all! You can have an airborne tour of the majestic site if you want to.
Here are some more of my pictures of this amazing site that I took while I was at Melbourne in 2010:
The seascape has always been my most favorite view. Not only the seascape but also the promontory — the protuberant part, high point of land or rock projecting into the sea beyond the line of the coast!
While you are at Port Campbell, you may find yourself among the seagulls. They keep on lurking, I think mostly for forage.
This short video below was uploaded by ‘MattDoc‘ YouTube channel during 2010 of the Twelve Apostles in Victoria, Australia along the Great Ocean Road. The video was shot using a Canon EOS 7D on a Manfrotto tripod.
